L'Oréal Paris Préférence 1 - Zwart - Permanente Kleuring - Extra-Langhoudend

My fav platinum shade hair dye! Been using it for 3+ years and it never fails me. It’s a bit on pricey side but worth it if you want to keep your hair intact when bleaching and searching for the perfect hue. Keeps my hair healthy and has an amazing platinum shade (Not gray, not yellow) but the pretty platinum blonde you’ve been looking for. since it’s 11.11 it ends up lightening your hair a couple of hues up. I’m a customer for a long time to come!

I see from other fellow Evies’ reviews how the colour is not the same compared to the picture on the box - that is normal, it is a semi-permanent and not a salon hair colouring. There is a leaflet inside the box showing you how light your hair can go based on the colour that you currently have. 👩‍🦳 I have coloured hair with blonde highlights and applied the product over my whole head (except my roots) and let it stay for 40-45mins. One box was more than enough. It definitely lightened my highlights and made the warm the red/brown ones almost blonde (𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦/𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰). It even worked on my darker hair and made it more brownish than black. ⚠️ One thing that definitely bothered me, was the smell. It is super chemical and made my eyes burn throughout the application - I had to open the windows. The shine oil and conditioner smell good though and were very moisturising. It would be really nice if they could be sold separately. 💜 Also, when I washed my hair, I directly went for a purple shampoo and not just rinsing with clear water because from other reviewers’ feedback, they claimed that their blonde hair became more orange than the start and I did not want to risk that 😅 I’ll wash with more purple shampoo to remove the copper colour in some areas. ✏️ Overall, the dye is nice and light. Personally, I think L'Oréal hair dye is one of the better hair colors. They cover my gray hair well and give my hair an even color. The shade I received matched my natural hair color nicely, so outgrowths weren't noticeable (ideal!). Unlike many other brands, I think the paint scent is not too bad! The included conditioner smells wonderfully like honey. This even allows me to wash several times. Thank you for letting me test this great product! I'm a fan! #LoveIsInTheHair
