Review Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir Serum
Review Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir Serum 🤩 Biotherm was one of the first luxury brands I bought. And with the Aquasource, love for skincare was born. It's been years since I used something from Biotherm. Until I ordered a taste of this serum online. Totally free! I received a sort of 8 day course of the Life Plankton Elixir Serum by post. After 8 days of use, you would see an improvement in your skin. Well let's give it a go! So the trial pack contains 8 sachets that contain the serum. But there's also quite a bit of it, really too much for me to apply to my face and neck, a bit of sin actually. It smears easily but feels a little sticky to the touch. The serum absorbs quickly and then that sticky disappeared. I smell that there's perfume in it and my skin doesn't feel a bit pulling. A look at the INCI list teaches me that alcohol denat. is listed as the fourth ingredient, so there's a lot of that in this serum. Alcohol denat. is a bad type of alcohol that can be drying and irritating. Not my fave. Perfume is at the bottom of the INCI list. I also see good ingredients such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, tocopherol (vitamin E) and for example ascorbyl glucoside (form of vitamin C). The pity is just that besides the glycerin, these good ingredients all come after phenoxyethanol, which is an ingredient that ensures the product is longer shelf life. But cosmetics should contain only 1% of that, so all the ingredients that come next is less than 1% in the serum. And then you have to wonder if they can actually do something for your skin. After two days of use, I all discover small red bumps around my lips and along my nostrils as well. There is also a small thickening on my cheek. I didn't add anything else to my routine but this serum. Skin irritations always start with me around my nose and mouth. 1 and 1 is 2 for me, my skin reacts to this serum. So I quit because I don't want to risk getting worse. Too bad, unfortunately, this serum isn't for me. So I can't say anything about the longer-term operation either. It's not suitable for my sensitive skin.

Booster effect
To amplify the smoothing and regenerating effect of my treatment, I place it in the fridge. When I apply it to my face, it activates the effect of the serum for a feeling of freshness and boosted skin. A routine that I don't do without every morning before putting on makeup.

Best serum against dry spots
Especially in winter, I suffer from mega dry areas in my face. No matter how much cream and how many different types of products I smear on it, my skin continues to flake. This serum is the only product that keeps my skin nourished all day and my makeup stays nicely on my skin. The serum feels like thick water, smells fresh and lubricates easily. You only need a little bit of it, so with a bottle you'll last a long time! I love this serum and can't live without it!

Really a shame. It's great that you share it all honestly though! 💕
