Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Night Cream

I have quite dry skin with an uneven texture- not bumps or scars, the texture is just not smooth. I have been using this as part of my evening skincare routine, and have really noticed a difference in my skin texture and hydration. I’m really happy with the result and will continue to use it

I recently received a free sample of this product with the purchase of some make up and I was so very excited to try it out. I love CT make up and have heard such good things about their skincare. I’ve just turned 40 so I need a product that works well for me at night. Previous reviews I have read repeatedly state the cream is like “beauty sleep in a jar”. Given the reviews and price tag for a full size version I had very high expectations. Sadly, I must say I was slightly disappointed. I expect a night cream to be thick but this is also heavy and gloopy and it did not absorb very well into my skin. The consistency reminds me of heavy Vaseline, it feels far too sticky and heavy to be a cream. It did make a difference to the radiance of my skin in the morning, but there are products out there cheaper and with a consistency more suited to my skin which will do the same. In truth it is a good product and if you have very dry skin I believe this would work wonders. Good product all in all but its not a match made in heaven for my skin.

I have mixed feelings about this product. Come morning, It definitely plumps and nourished your skin, so I can't complain about the results. But at almost £100 a pot the application is just awful. They call it a cream but really it's more of a balm, it's that thick and sticky. You really need to rub it in your hands to warm up before applying it to your face or you'll end up with uneven application as it's so difficult to spread out about your face when you apply it cold. The other thing you really need to do is apply it early, i made the mistake of putting it on before getting into bed, come the morning I literally had to peel my face off my pillowcase. If you don't mind a sticky balm like texture and you can get past the floral fragrance and have really dry skin then this might be the product for you, otherwise there are so many nourishing night creams out there that are a joy to use. I really can't recommend this.
