As a base coat this works really well and dries super quick. Same can be said as a top coat, however I do find it only seems to last around 4 days. After that my nail polish starts chipping and not looking so fresh anymore. It’s a good price and does what it needs to as a base coat.

Catrice Gel Base&Top coat. UPDATE alert. (I had already written a review that was very negative, I just leave the review below.) The new review is a lot less negative, because I retested the paint in different ways with different combinations of brands and then I found out I liked it pretty much. In combination with Boho green nail polish, it works nicely as an addition, as it shines beautifully. It really seems like you did a gel lacquer on it. As a topcoat it is beautiful, but it doesn't keep it for a long time, for about 4 days it's nice. Afterwards, it can be dull or slightly let go, updating by giving it an extra paint is super easy. As a base coat I never use it again, my opinion is exactly as described below, because it doesn't stick to your nail at all, so it will release the same day you put it on. So it's not dredging nail polish (anymore) but really good and long lasting as a topcoat is not. So probably even though I like it a bit better now, I'm not going to buy it again, but I'm going to make it all the way up. I'm super disappointed with this product while I was excited about it because this vegan cruelty free product is just for sale in the drugstore and I like Catrice makeup products. I'll start at the beginning, so easy. It's affordable, it looks super nice, it smells crazy enough a kind of fruit (very separate and not necessarily fine), the feeling of the smell is really not comfortable for your nose and head because it's so heavy, it's pretty thick and I prefer a thinner one, it dries up quickly when you get it like basecoat is used but takes a little longer if you use it as a topcoat, it seems to grab your nail well but after 1 day you see it's more of a kind of floating on top, so it gets air fast = peeling faster, all types of nail polish I have with it so far combined, it becomes extra vulnerable and lasts less long. I've tried it in different ways with different combinations, but the bottom line is that it's really not good, my nail polish goes off faster and if I only use it as a beautiful coat without other nail polish, it's pretty easy to get rid of. In fact, if you use it alone as a coat without other nail polish, sometimes 90% fall off like a clear leaf and when you use it as a topcoat, whole chips will go off without doing or touching anything. So this nail polish doesn't really stick to your nail as a base coat and chips like a top coat. So I definitely don't recommend this product. X Vonne
