The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane 30ml

I started this product last week and am very curious about what effects it will have on my skin. Despite the fact that I haven't used it every day (it's quite strong), I did get more pimples. Just looked this up and they also call this purging: “Skin purging happens when new ingredients, like retinol, promote increased cell turnover, which causes clogging and worsening breakouts. This is particularly the case as oil and debris that is trapped deeper underneath the skin comes to the surface”. This can take approximately 4-6 weeks. I am waiting for it now and am very curious how my skin will react to this in the coming period. I've read a lot about retinol and people think it's a panacea. Important though, use it in the evening, then moisturize well and don't forget to put on SPF the next day!!

Use the product for about 2 months now and don't really notice a good difference. I have dry/sensitive skin myself. Personally, I think the serum is too grease/oil and it takes a long time until it is absorbed a bit. A glimpse stays there. The serum does smear well and spreads evenly on your face.
