In combination with Retinol, it works great for me!

UPDATE 1 month later: I used the rest in combination with my retinol. Super combi!! my bottle is empty and I'm trying my old serum (niacinamide) again. (Start) I started working on this product with good cheer 4 weeks ago! Despite the fact that many reviews like the smell (or lack of smell), I have to say that it made me a little nauseous. It reminded me of the penicillin I used to get as a child. Anyway, I can get over that in principle, because the product has been withdrawn mega quickly. I'm just not a fan of moving in so quickly. I certainly needed a drop more than described to be able to rub my face and neck. Unfortunately, I can't say it did anything to my fine lines on my forehead. And 4 days after using it, I got two huge pustules around my cheek. And this while I had my acne under control with my normal products and routine. But of course, it could also have been a fluke... I do have the idea that my hyperpigmentation on my cheeks has diminished a little. The other areas of hyperpigmentation don't. And my skin also seems less dry with this serum. I think that is an advantage!! I can't get a dewy glow from it. I got more of that from my usual retinol serum. I have read that bakuchiol enhances the effect of Retinol. I'm going to use the rest of the bottle I still have in combination with my retinol. I wonder if I like it better. All in all... I've experienced 2 advantages: no more dry patches on my skin for the past 4 weeks. And it seems like the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks is less. As it stands, I think the product is “okay” but I wouldn't buy it. BUT... who knows if I change my mind when I use it with retinol...

Hmm, not something for my skin.

Unfortunately, this product did not work with my current skincare products on my skin when I used this serum twice a day. My skin reacted very brightly at the time. I reduced this to 3 times a week, then I noticed that my skin reacted better to it. In addition, the appearance of my skin is slightly or something improves, but not to say wow.

No effect?

For starters, bakuchiol is NOT some kind of replacement for retinoids. At least not of the type: same effect, but fewer side effects. Bakuchiol and retinoids work differently on your skin cells and surrounding structures in many areas. I am writing this to indicate that I wanted to be realistic about this product before my order. The product comes in a typical glass jar Routinely. Not very fluid, but also less viscous than some of their other products. I also find this product a little easier to spread. Color is transparent white. It has a light scent, but I'm afraid to say what it smells like exactly. Now about the effect: it hydrates... and that's it? The product feels soft and does not irritate. A lot of glycerin has been added for moisturizing purposes. But I didn't see it doing anything else. While I was trying this product, I completely stopped my retinoids and reduced other acids. Well, my skin has certainly not improved. * It didn't work on fine lines. * And because I stopped my retinoids, I started to get a little texture in my skin again. And this product didn't do anything about that either. (Can't be done, because bakuchiol does not have the effect on sebum production like retinoids do) And so in conclusion: moisturizing serum? I like hydration, but I can think of better products at this price. I'm going back to my retinoids. Only if you react badly to retinoids, or if you know of yourself that you do not intend to use SPF on a daily basis... then I can recommend bakuchiol. NB I have now tried two bakuchiol products. This and another eye cream from Catrice. It may be that the dose of bakuchiol is too low (for me), or that the composition does something about the effect. I'm also pretty sure they used a much higher dose in all those medical studies. In principle, I am still open to bakuchiol, but maybe in a higher dose sometime in the future.
