Kevin Murphy - MAXI.WASH

Heyy dear everyone, I've been @kevin.murphy trying out this Maxi.wash detox shampoo for the past two weeks, and I can tell you I enjoyed it! It is a detox shampoo and it is also indicated that you should use it as a first cleanse for your hair, for those who do not know, it is recommended to wash your hair twice. The first time to get the greasiness & dirt out of your hair and the second time to also be able to wash all the greasiness & dirt from your scalp. A bit like the 'double cleanse' for your face. The first cleanse to remove makeup, spf and dirt and the second to remove all other leftovers. The same goes for your hair and scalp. The wash has a strong spicy smell, which I actually like. It gives me the feeling that my hair is getting clean. It is transparent in color and does not foam evenly, you really have to froth it in your palms. I quickly have greasy hair at the start, but my ends are very dry due to the bleaching. This shampoo removes the greasiness easily, but I have to be careful not to get too close to the ends, otherwise my hair can get dry. I also really like the effect. The packaging looks luxurious and looks great on your shower helfie. 😉 In short... I think it's a very nice shampoo, really has a detox effect on my hair, but due to the dryness of my ends I have to be careful not to apply it all the way down, which is not recommended by the way, so that makes a difference! For me 4 stars, because in summer it is perfect, but in winter it might dry out just a little too much for my (very often) bleached hair. I tested the shampoo three times to form an opinion about it and I am a fan! I used to wash my hair twice, so I was curious if a detox shampoo as a first rinse would add anything, well it certainly does! After washing with the detox shampoo, my hair feels a bit stiffer and especially with my scalp immediately clean and not greasy anymore. After that, I notice that my own shampoo foams a lot more than usual with the second wash, which shows to me that my scalp has really become cleaner because of it! It is important to use a mask or conditioner afterwards to give your hair the right nutrition, after that my hair feels wonderfully soft and airy! I have an oily scalp fairly quickly and with this detox shampoo I can postpone washing for a day longer (every 3-4 days instead of 2-3), very nice! And very nice that this effect is achieved without parabens and sulfates and cruelty free 🙌 Disadvantage for me is the packaging, when I had it standing upright it leaked quite a bit of shampoo out, too bad :( Now it is on the side with the cap up, then it goes well! In the leaflet that was included (see photo) it is described that you can optionally do a mask after washing and then another conditioner, I have never combined this before and was curious what the added value would be instead of conditioner once and another mask.. Can you possibly explain that @kevin.murphy? I did it once and have to say that my hair was even softer than usual, but it still felt a bit double... All in all, this is a keeper to use occasionally to remove the excess products from my scalp and balance sebum production more:)

I have now tested it 3x, I first wash my hair with this detox shampoo then with andrelon clay fresh and pure shampoo and conditioner. You notice that this shampoo really cleans everything my hair was then very rough, after the other shampoo and conditioner my hair became super soft and very healthy! I wash my hair normally every 2 days and now I do 4 days before I have to wash it again. It is definitely recommended to buy it again!
