If your main concern is hydration this serum does the work. It’s quite light once applied and dries fairly quickly. But don’t expect miracles, I’ve used it for months and the anti ageing properties the brand likes to boost seem missing for me- fine lines are where they were and pores look if anything a bit bigger. It’s also a little sticky upon applying, which makes it a bit worse during the summer. The biggest advantage is the fact that it’s truly hypoallergenic. I’ve shifted to products from la roche posay after years of using Darphin because after covid my skin flared up and it was hard to find products that wouldn’t make it red and more sensitive. On this front this serum doesn’t disappoint. At its price point I think it’s a worthy purchase but don’t expect too much from it.

I like the product, but as with all La Roche Posay products in this style packaging, I feel the Pipette lets the product down. It doesn’t have the greatest of suctions and it has a wide opening which makes for a messier application. No irritation occurred for me.

Having tried a number of different hyaluronic acid products i am seriously impressed with this gem. It comes in a 30ml blue bottle and the HA is quite thick and opaque in colour, but a few drops is all you need and it leaves your skin feeling nourished and hydrated. To get even better results i spray with an essence or misting spray before applying, let the mist dry slightly then apply a few drops of the serum. I then let it sink in for a couple of minutes and then reapply the mist again. This forms a sandwich of moisture which seems to last for most of the day. This has definitely improved the plumpness and hydration in my skin. I am about half way through the bottle and will continue to use this. It is quite an expensive item (RRP around £38) but it is often on offer so you can get it much cheaper. La Roche Posay is a brand that is often recommended by dermatologists and having used other products i can definitely say they are decent quality and produce results.
