Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

This is such a lovely facial oil. It’s smells heavenly and once applied it leaves my skin incredibly soft. Perfect for use at night and as a weekly treatment for my skin. It makes me feel really pampered

This product does what it says, the bottle is classic of Clarins and honestly Clarins is one of my favourite brands so I had high hopes. I just do not like the smell, it’s very much a me problem though and many others don’t have this issue but it kind of makes me think of a cooking oil with a slight citrus tint… I don’t know, just not keen. But the product did make my skin feel beautiful and I can’t knock them on that.  I would just recommend smelling it first if you’re sensitive to scents.

As a regular face oil, I’d probably rate it 3* (I think pure Rosehip oil is the best performing oil I’ve used) but I love the fragrance and it is a good product for hydration and that’s why it gets 4*. It is a treatment oil so you should only use 1-2 drops, 2 times a week. I used to use it every night and when I went to the Clarins counter to complain I was corrected on how I was using it. I now use it once a week as part of a weekly hydration treatment day for my face and it works really well (and lasts way longer!) This and the body treatment oil have such a beautiful spa-like fragrance. I sometimes dab it on my décolletage as a mental reset.
