Benefit Dew-la-la

Not sure
Super nice that I received this product to try! I used this product as a kind of “shiny” base under my makeup, it gives a nice glittery effect but doesn't do much. It says you can also use this on top of your makeup as a highlighter but I didn't find the color I had (medium) striking enough for this. For me, it's a product that adds a little extra to the steps in your makeup look, but it doesn't add much to the overall look and isn't incredibly striking and is certainly not a must. Would I recommend it? Not necessarily, in terms of price, I think it's too expensive for what it is.

I'm not going to buy this
Hi! Benefit's new highlighter, Dew-la-La, is different from what I expected. I expected a highlighter stick of powder, but got a kind of light foundation with (subtle) glitter in it. You can apply the liquid highlighter in various ways: 1 ️ ︎ mix with your day cream: I did a lot, but I found it felt wet for a long time and I found the glow too noticeable. I thought it gave me too much light. 2 ️ Apply as a foundation: I applied the liquid highlighter after my day cream. I liked it better and had a better effect at the end of the day. I thought it had a natural effect. 3 ️ ︎ over my makeup, where you normally apply highlighter: I applied the highlighter to my nose and cheekbones. You need a lot of product for the desired result. Otherwise, the glow won't be noticeable. I like the product as a replacement for my BB cream, but whether I would buy it is another question. Probably not, because I expected more from it anyway, and also at that price. X

Subtle glow
The Benefit Dew-la-La liquid highlighter comes in a brightly colored, compact tube that you can easily take with you on the go. The product itself is virtually odourless. The substance feels nice, not too thick, and also spreads easily with your finger. However, I expected more shine and pigmentation, as I've come to expect from other Benefit highlighters. It really gives a subtle healthy glow (without glitter) that is visible in sunlight. Unfortunately, without a light source, I hardly see it on my skin. I applied it over my foundation to cheekbones and nose. If you like a subtle glow, this might be a must for you. Personally, I like more pigment, shine and glitter. All in all, 3/5 stars, neither good nor bad.
