The ordinary vitamin c
A wonderful product, namely the vitamin C serum from The Ordinary. I bought 3 products from this website about 2 months ago and tested them for a while. These products were namely the moisturizer, the argan oil and the vitamin C serum. The texture is medium in thickness. It spreads easily on the face and spreads well. The product absorbs quickly. I thought it was a very nice product myself, but I had to get used to the tingling feeling. This is a choice you have to make if you want to. It is also very important not to use this product around the eyes and eyebrows, this will burn a lot.

Texture very odd
I understand that it’s difficult to make the texture of a Vitamin C cream uniform, but this is oddly oily and I struggle to use it. I put it on overnight and by the morning a strange grainy residue is left on my face. It does have a slight glowing effect on my skin but it doesn’t last very long. I have not experienced the burning sensation that others have mentioned. Just a slight tingle.

Not for me
The consistency of the product is odd - watery but lumpy almost. It tingles when you put it on unlike other Vitamin C products I have used. Am then left with a grainy almost pilled skin residue afterwards which is unpleasant at best. Used it for 8 weeks and saw minimal improvement in my skin - it ruined my skin barrier more than improving my spots. Reduced the frequency of using it but it didn’t help the outcome much. Switched to another brand of Vitamin C and have seen much improvement of my skin- didn’t switch to a more expensive brand either which goes to show it’s not just about it being a budget brand.
