25/9/2019 Combined/Oily Skin? DONT BE AFRAID OF OILS!! What is combination skin/oily skin? Combination or oily skin is actually dehydrated skin that makes too much sebum at the t zone to compensate. On the other hand, the cheeks are often drier because there are fewer sebaceous glands. Not ideal! Vegetable oils These are actually very simple to put oils that come from plants. These oils have 3 wonderful properties: antibacterial, moisturizing and (hard) fat-dissolving. Fat dissolving? Yess you hear that right. Oils ideal for combined/oily skin Many people know the story that the skin will create extra sebum when it dries out and that you need to moisturize your skin with oils. And yet many prefer to stay away from it. I think because you might be afraid to use too much of it again and will not solve the problem yet. But nothing is less true! You can't use too much. First, your skin only absorbs what the skin needs; secondly, vegetable oil has the property of not hardening in your pores, in fact, this oil dissolves hard oil clogged in your pores. So two flies in swoop. The hard oil is easily removed with oil and at the same time your skin doesn't produce new sebum as the skin remains hydrated by the oil. You have to realize that vegetable oil is just as different as the oil you make yourself.
