With this lipstick, the intention is to first apply the liquid color. You should let this dry for a while without putting your lips together, then you can apply the marker over it. This ensures soft, shiny lips and ensures that the lipstick does not grain. As long as you don't eat or drink whole meals, the lipstick stays perfectly on your lips, but it's nice to put the marker over it in between so that your lips are a little softer and shinier again. After eating a meal, the lipstick was still pretty good on it. Only the inner edge of my lips let go a little bit, the rest was actually still perfect. This lipstick by L'Oréal has a really beautiful color. It's a bit nude/pink Metallica but you don't mind the Metallica, it looks more shiny. Personally, before I put it on, I put a little petroleum jelly so that my lips are well hydrated and it really stays in place all day and doesn't crumble!
