Glycolic Renewal Cleanser

I got to test this cleanser and I was really curious, as it would help against oily skin. I've been using the cleanser for 2 weeks now. The first time I used it, I was a bit shocked by the smell; I thought it smelled a bit of iron. After using it a few times, I now smell a little more citrus but I still don't like the smell. Then with regard to the use and the result: once I have rinsed off the cleanser, I have soft skin that feels nice. Some impurities have been added, but that could be due to the fact that I normally use a different cleanser. Furthermore, I continue to have oily skin (especially my forehead). I think the price is quite expensive, but cheap compared to other Skinceuticals products. After all, it is a big tube that can last you a long time. So I haven't been blown away yet, but I'm definitely going to use it in the near future to see if I'll notice a difference after a longer period of time.

I had heard of Skinceuticals' products before (almost all positive) but their price range is really above my budget. All the more fun that I got to test this cleanser! :) It is a large 150ml tube and the price is around €40-45. The SkinCeutics Glycolic Renewal Cleanser is a daily exfoliating cleansing gel with 8% Glycolic Acid. It contains a high concentration of Glycolic Acid (8%) to effectively exfoliate the skin, removes makeup and supports cell renewal and provides a radiant complexion. It all sounds great! The texture is gel-like and when first used, I immediately notice a few spots that burn - oops, apparently a few small pimples that I had forgotten. So good to take this into account, if you have a lot of open spaces/wounds, etc., I would really not recommend this. Ouch! Furthermore, great to use and after drying, my skin feels clean and soft, but extremely tight. I definitely need 2 coats of cream. After the second time, in the evening, I wake up the next morning with a slightly red and restless face. This product certainly works, I can tell from everything, although I think you'll need to use it a little longer for the 'brightening' effect. If this product fit my budget, I wouldn't buy it as it's too much for my combination but sensitive skin. I can imagine that this is already quite different for someone with oily skin.

A very nice, acidic wash! I use it for my face in the morning and evening. I've been doing it for about ten days now, my skin looks good and calm. However, I do think you should apply moisturizer immediately afterwards, my skin feels tight after the wash. I don't notice the 'brightening' effect yet, who knows, maybe it will come but it's not immediately visible. So I'm still a bit skeptical whether it's going to do what it says. But not a bad product. I'm going to keep testing!
