A happy, glowy skin starts with... Good skincare! And guess what? Exfoliation is the secret! By exfoliating, you remove dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, andddd give your skin a youthful glow. Two popular forms of exfoliation are BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) and AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid). Do you already know the difference?! Let's dive into all the ins & outs.
What is a BHA exfoliator?
BHA, also known as salicylic acid, is like a superhero diving deep into your pores. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, BHA can lend a hand in reducing excess sebum, preventing breakouts, and improving skin texture. Eves-members are ecstatic about these exact skincare goodies with BHA in the mix:
I've been using this for a year now, once every 2 days before going to bed. I usually have a fairly oily skin, and sometimes slight pimples. After a month, this was already much less and now it doesn't bother me at all.
Daily use was just too heavy for my skin, so I use it every other day. If you want to test it, a small bottle is sufficient, if you are a regular user, I would take the large bottle, which lasts almost a year.
This exfoliant is a staple in my routine. It helps keep my pores clear, smooths out texture, and reduces breakouts without irritation. I noticed brighter, clearer skin within a couple of weeks. It’s gentle, fragrance-free, and really effective—definitely worth it.
A good toner is an essential part of any skin care routine, as it helps to refresh and hydrate the skin, while also restoring the pH balance. A toner that is particularly nice is the hydrating toner with rose water. This toner is not only invigorating, but also offers numerous benefits for the skin. The formula of this toner is light and contains natural ingredients such as rose water, known for its calming and soothing properties. It helps to hydrate and refresh the skin, making it a perfect choice for all skin types, including sensitive skin. The toner also works as an excellent preparation for further skin care products, such as serums and moisturizers, as it prepares the skin to better absorb the active ingredients. In addition, this toner has a lovely scent that offers a sense of luxury and relaxation during your daily routine. Applying toner with cotton wool or hands can be a moment of self-care, which is important in our busy lives. Using a toner can also help remove impurities and excess oil, resulting in a brighter and healthier appearance. In short, a nice toner like this one with rose water is a must-have in your skin care routine. It provides hydration, soothes the skin and ensures that you maintain a radiant complexion. It's a simple but effective step that can boost your skin and improve your overall care routine.

➖
The small size is handy, but you'll probably want to switch to the full-size version quickly.
This mini version is ideal if you want to test the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant without buying a big bottle right away. The product works quickly and effectively to refine the skin and reduce blemishes. Absolutely recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If I could give it more stars, I would. Put it on in the evening and you'll notice an immediate difference the next day. Blemishes and pustules have become much less. Be careful (don't use too often) and build up slowly at the beginning. Hydrate thoroughly after application.
This product is a miracle cure! It works great on acne prone skin. It soothes the skin and fades red spots. Within 2 days of use, you will notice a difference. My face is shiny and looks very healthy. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money.
If your home is used to exfoliating daily, it is time to increase the percentage slightly. This gel is perfect for that. The fine lines in my face are really less deep and my skin is super smooth. The gel feels great on your face and is easy to distribute evenly.
A very nice plastic packaging. Ideal for when it falls out of the bathroom cabinet 😉
There is a nice pump on it from which you can easily remove the gel and that is also easy to unscrew.
Great for when it is almost empty and you also want to finish the last bit.
I have 1/2 to 1 pump enough for my face and neck.
I have been using this product for years, almost daily, so I know from experience that it lasts a very long time. On average, I spend about 8 months with 1 bottle.
The product is easy to distribute and absorbs very quickly into the skin. Do not use too much or you will suffer from a sticky layer.
I can use my day or night cream immediately after use.
The product has really done wonders for my skin.
Do not expect this immediately after 1 use. But over time, I got fresher skin. Pores were less noticeable, puckets disappeared. I rarely have a pimple now!
I was very apprehensive about buying this product because of the price tag but I was convinced by all the reviews.
I generally have ok skin with some blemishes. Every time I put this product on before going to sleep I wake up with soft, plump clear skin! I still get spots here and there but this exfoliator definitely helps keep breakouts under control and I would say it is worth the splurge
I always had very small bumps on my forehead. Since I've been using this exfoliant, they've completely gone. This also works very well against pimples! I personally like the gel better than the lotion. I use it 2 to 3 times a week and have been doing with this pump for almost a year.
Now that this exfoliant has been part of my skincare routine for six months now, I can say that it has really helped my skin. I have dry skin with acne and this exfoliant has made my skin very smooth and smooth. In addition, I noticed that my red color on my face has faded a bit. I can't live without this product now! I use 2 pumps in the evening and I use spf during the day.
I've tried the liquid Bha before, I personally like the lotion much, much better. The liquid runs directly off my skin, the lotion is a bit thicker in substance and therefore more comfortable for me.
After a few days/weeks of getting used to it, it is possible to use it in the morning and evening. My skin loves Paula’s choice products!
Previously, I spent more on creams, masks, serums. After using Paula's cleansing products for some time, I am convinced that not too aggressive cleansing does much more for my skin than spending it on care alone. When using less, often aggressive cleansing, my skin is more concerned with repairing damage than it can be properly nourished afterwards.
Bha isn't really a cleanser, of course, but an exfoliant. My sensitive skin can even take it twice a day and feels clean and soft. I combine these twice a week in the evening with a retinol, often also by Paula, of course not at the same time as the bra.
The price is a thing though, it's really considerably more expensive than drugstore brands. My skin has really improved, feels cleaner, softer.
Paula does regularly have great promotions with discounts and free extra products, so I'll stick with this cleansing and retinol brand. I haven't tried the creams yet, I use basic Cerave creams that I'm also satisfied with.

I now use the gel lotion, but used the regular bha liquid exfoliant for this. The gel lotion has a pump, so you can easily and hygienically have the right amount. The gel is easy to apply and absorbs quickly. I use the product in the evening before applying my creams. My skin is smoother and less affected by impurities. The gel lotion is my preference about the liquid exfoliant, because it feels less intense on the skin and applies more easily. Furthermore, the operation is the same for me. This is a (for me) somewhat more expensive product, but definitely worth its money! Definitely a must for a healthy, smooth and glowy skin.

This exfoliant has, in addition to unclogging my pores, a moisturizing effect. It is light, soft and leaves a feeling of freshness. I use it twice a week because my mature skin tends to saturate quickly (flaking). After use, it leaves me with soft, fresh and hydrated skin. Be careful, not everyone will like this “greasy” side (especially oily skin) but for my part, I prefer to have well hydrated skin. So I recommend this exfoliant that I particularly like.
I purchased the product on the recommendation of a colleague who is also a beautician.
My acne is visibly diminishing. Please note that you also need other skin care, for example during the day you need a day cream with spf.
This product has significantly improved my skin texture. I had a lot of keratosis pilaris and ingrown hairs. After a few weeks of use, I noticed that the redness and imperfections were visibly reduced. The formula is gentle enough for daily use and hasn't irritated my skin. It also helps tackle stubborn blemishes and ingrown hairs. I am very satisfied with the results and recommend it to anyone who suffers from impurities and wants to achieve smooth skin!

I've been dealing with folliculitis on my legs and buttocks for YEARS, which are pimples due to hair follicle inflammation. As a teenager, I felt very insecure about this. After trying almost everything, I considered this cream. 2% BHA Body Spot Exfoliant by Paula's Choice really saved my skin and now, after applying every day, I'm completely rid of these annoying bumps. This cream is really the KEY to this problem and I recommend it to anyone who suffers from it.
After just a few uses, my skin looks smoother. It is also less greasy and acne stays away. Even my husband identified the difference on his own! You don't need much of it either. This, combined with Paula's Choice's gentle cleansing, is a great combination for sensitive, combination skin.
On the advice of the Paula's Choice helpdesk, I tried this product for acne on the body. Within 1 week (!) almost everything gone and now keep lubricating it daily/every other day. Wish I had discovered this product earlier because I could have saved me a lot of uncertainty in previous summers!
This product has literally made me feel good about myself again.
Back when I was 16/17, I had quite a few pimples on my shoulders and back. This made me quite insecure about swimming, etc.
Since I used this product, my pimples have disappeared and I haven't even left any scars.
I've really been using this for a year because I don't want it to come back.
What is an AHA exfoliator?
AHA, or Alpha Hydroxy Acid, is a gentle exfoliant that primarily works on the skin's surface. Dry patches? Fine lines? You're OUT! AHA is perfect for the dry-skin crew and the anti-aging squad! These skincare must-haves with AHA, according to honest reviews, are definitely worth it:
Review Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Exfoliating season has begun! In the summer, your skin will unintentionally suffer skin damage, even if you wear good skincare faithfully. Autumn is the season to give the skin a boost.
This Paula's Choice exfoliant contains 8% AHA (glycolic acid). It is suitable for dry skin and sun-damaged skin. It removes dead skin cells, reduces fine lines and prevents signs of skin aging, as well as providing hydration and radiant skin.
In addition to glycolic acid, this exfoliant also contains fine caring ingredients such as allantoin, bisabolol and chamomile extract.
The product is packaged in an air- and slightly tight container, good for its shelf life. It has a pump system, with 1 pump I have enough for my entire face. You apply it to cleansed skin and don't rinse it off. After it has been able to absorb, apply a moisturizer.
However, you need to build up its use to ensure that the skin can get used to the product. In the first few weeks of use, you may also experience some more imperfections, such as pimples, due to purging. It is an exfoliating product that allows impurities to surface. I myself have not had any problems with this exfoliant.
I myself use this a few times a week in my evening routine because it makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight. It is easy to apply and has a slightly sticky texture. It absorbs fairly quickly and then I follow up with a moisturizer and sometimes first with a hydrating serum.
This exfoliant is very nice for my dry skin. It reduces fine lines caused by dryness. It provides radiant skin and a smooth, even and supple skin texture. My sensitive skin has no irritation after using this product. Really another top @paulaschoice hit!
I can handle exfoliating season with this exfoliant!

This exfoliant works great and with respect for sensitive skin. If you have dry sensitive skin, exfoliation with AHA is recommended. I use this product 2 to 3 a week maximum and it makes my skin softer, visibly smoother and most importantly: it does not give pigmentation spots a chance to develop. Afterwards, removing the product with a lotion and moisturizing the skin well is necessary, just like protecting the skin with an SPF.
I've been using this exfoliant for over a year now and I'm very satisfied! This was my first exfoliant ever and you can see the most result in the beginning. I had a big, little dark spot on my cheek and it's gone. Furthermore, my skin radiates and looks healthy. Now I'm not noticing any new improvement, but at some point you also get used to your fresh shade;). At least I'm not going to stop.
@paulaschoice
What am I satisfied with this product 😁
Wonder stuff isn't 💯%!
I suddenly suffered a lot of pigment spots on my forehead, it was a large pigment stain with small spots around it, it looked like a pregnancy mask, but after 3 weeks (smearing 3x a week) the spots are almost completely gone!
In addition, it removes dead skin cells and reduces fine lines.
So too bad I don't have a good picture of before.
Because then you would be able to see the difference really well.
Update: now to longer use, all stains are completely gone!
Now I use it once more a week.
I recommend it to everyone!
Thanks paula ❤
I am pleasantly surprised by this product. First impression was that it was a boring, totally uninviting packaging. Advantage is the handy pump, the perfect dose. When I applied it, my skin seemed to be on fire, but this went away very quickly. The cream is totally non-greasy and my skin looks and feels radiant. I am very satisfied with it and intend to buy it in the future.
If greasier creams alone don't help, try this! During my pregnancy, my skin changed from combination to dry/sensitive. Only fuller creams did not provide the desired effect. I continued to have flakes and dry lines. Until I had used this product for a few weeks. Top stuff!
I use this product along with the 2% BHA liquid exfoliant.
Every 2 to 3 days, I change the product. I have sensitive skin but no problem with the product.
My skin looks smoother and smoother, the pigmentation spots are certainly decreasing.
I also tried the gel, which I don't like feels stickier than the lotion myself.
I use a lot of Paula's choise, but I noticed that the bra exfoliant alone wasn't enough for my skin anymore. Now I've been using this AHA for a while and I quickly noticed a difference. My face looks fresher and gets fewer pimples than usual. I do combine it with a toner (which I never did), so maybe it's also the combination of...
I've been using this exfoliant for years as part of my skincare routine. Since the exfoliant is not too heavy, I can use the product daily. I get no redness, no “tight feeling”, but a wonderfully purified skin. It spreads fine and has a fine and subtle scent.
Paula's choice is by far the best skincare I've used so far. And this product is my favorite! It helps against all kinds of ailments, but I mainly use it against sheets/skin that is dry. I use it daily, but you can also do it every other day if your skin may be a bit hypersensitive. Definitely recommended, especially in combination with a full skincare routine ofPaula's Choice! I also used the other exfoliant from Paula's choice and it was great too, but this one is just a bit better for my skin type.
Purchased this product 4 weeks ago because my skin had started to look tired, older and valer. In the 1st week, I used it every other day in my evening routine. My skin, which never reacts sensitively, turned slightly red and gave it a stinging feeling. From the 2nd week I started using it every night and my skin got used to it. Every day, I see my skin getting better. It is smoother in the complexion, fresher and the fine lines appear a lot less. I say a topper!
I was always a big fan of the Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant, but now that I've tried it, I never want anything else 🥰 This product really works wonders for my skin, the result is even better than the BHA. After use, my skin looks radiant and super healthy. Holy grail discovery!!
We have a winner! This exfoliant has been the finest I've used so far. And that's quite a few. As I mentioned in my previous review, I like the substance finer (lubricates easily, moisturizes and does not stick). My skin looks more even and my sensitive skin responds well to it. I recommend him.
It's almost unfortunately. First, make up what I had left and then I'll buy it next time. Thank you@paulaschoice and@weareeves for being able to test and review.
Two weeks ago I started testing this product and I thought it was time for an update 😀. As I said before, I have been using a lot of them@paulaschoice and am always very satisfied with the operation of their products. So I used all the skin perfecting 8% Aha gel exfoliant. A very fine product that gives my skin a smoother look. So I was especially curious what the advanced smoothing treatment would do with my skin as it contains 10% Aha supplemented with Lactic, glycolic and malic acids. Also because I have sensitive skin, I was wondering if this might be too violent for my skin.
I use these two weeks in the morning and evening after cleansing the skin and using a toner. What I notice is that my skin is smoother (but it was already using the previous one, not to notice much difference), but above all it feels more hydrated and softer. I like the substance of this exfoliant better. It is more milky and smears like a light cream. The gel may feel a little sticky. So far, this exfoliant makes me happier and would prefer it over the gel variant. More in two weeks!
