DIOR Forever Matte Foundation 00 00

This does not budge all day when I use it! I was looking for the skin glow finish, but they didn’t have it in stock of my shade (typical). Was running out of my usual foundation and wanted to try something new and needed it soon. I immediately fell in love. It blends so well and covers everything. I rely on concealer when I have breakouts, but with this, I felt I didn’t have to reach for it. Powder blush and bronzer works best with this. Cream finishes with this one makes it sit on top, but it’s so lightweight I don’t really mind. It’s not heavy like some other matte foundations and I’m such a big advocate for Dior!! Truly a holy grail brand.

Absolutely love this foundation, it stays for a long time the only down side it’s for hotter days it will need a bit more setting so it doesn’t melt, but normal day it will stay for hours long, mine stayed for 18h on the first time I used and when I took it off my skin was smooth like I didn’t even had make up for the whole day!

Ahh it feels like so long ago that Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra was my favourite foundation.. until they went and changed the formula and pretty bottle shape atleast 6/7 years ago. I was devastated and have been on the hunt since then to find a dupe.. or atleast something similar. All those years and bottles of foundation bought later and I THINK I have found something even better (even if it is a bit more on the pricey side.. the only reason I have taken a 🌟 off). I got deluxe samples of the "Forever" and the "Forever Glow" versions and tested them out side by side.. one on each side of my face. It was almost an automatic fail for the "Glow" version as it doesn't have much to it in any aspect, to be honest. I got a great colour/coverage payoff with the "Forever" version and it blended seamlessly (I use my hands to apply my foundation.. always have, probably always will. I find that I get my foundation to work and blend to it's full potential when using my fingers to blend it into my skin.. then do a nice, light pressured tapping with my fingertips, once I find it has evenly spread across my face, as this helps to complete that PERFECT blend). FOREVER - this puppy STAYS PUT. It has the most amazing coverage without looking like you're wearing a mask. A little goes a long way and it feels so light on the skin.. I forgot I even had it on a few hours later.. my skin could breathe! It doesn't crease or dry off and, my my, this stuff doesn't transfer or budge! They could seriously put '48hr wear' on this puppy.. I had swatched both samples on my arm to compare them before I tried on the face and oh my God! After 2 days of having forgot about these swatches, I was getting ready for a shower and this swatch hadn't budged or broken apart AT ALL. And this is after almost 48hours of hand washing, moisturising and general moving around. It is so light I had completely forgot it was there 🤦‍♀️. So after having wore this foundation for 2 days in a row I fell in love and have ordered a full size bottle. If you think Estee Lauder Double Wear is great I would definitely give this a try. It doesn't even compare to how great this DIOR FOREVER foundation is but I thought I would mention it as I know how popular DW is, I used to use it myself, but this beats it by a mile as it doesn't feel sticky or heavy/cakey on the skin plus it doesn't transfer or oxidise. It is light as a feather, less Concealer is needed AND it comes in a much more efficient and cleaner pump bottle. FOREVER GLOW- I honestly don't have much to say about this version of the foundation. It has very light coverage and has no staying power. I really kept my eye out to find this "glow" but couldn't find it for the life of me. Both the swatch on my arm and the trial on half of my face were completely gone after a few hours. Definitely not the type of foundation anyone who wants a bit of coverage would like. The drugstores have much better options!
